Hi, I'm George.

I'm a dad of two, and I'm the person in my family who has to know what's happening, what's coming next, and what can't get forgotten.

I know that feeling because I am that person.

I started Yaruta because I needed a better way to keep up with everything without letting the responsibility of managing my family life become my whole life.

I'm also a first generation Mexican American who grew up in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, where family, resilience, and looking out for one another shaped who I am.

Then a Parkinson's diagnosis changed the way I thought about something even more important: Time.

Our time with the people we love is precious. We shouldn't have to spend so much of it managing the logistics of being a family.

That's why I started Yaruta.

Today, we're starting with something very practical: helping families make sense of the school emails, activities, dates, reminders, and information already coming at them every day.

But the reason behind it is much bigger.

I want technology to give families more room to play, learn, connect, and spend meaningful time together.

Less time managing family life.

More time actually living it.
